In the heart of Melbourne, Supersede is a masterclass in quiet excellence. The coffee is nuanced and beautifully balanced, the food thoughtful and refined, and the atmosphere effortlessly warm and cozy. It’s the kind of place where time slows and every detail feels intentional. Five stars, earned with grace.

First time trying the famous Mont Blanc and it was sooooo delicious!! For breakfast I ordered the granolabowl & it was very good as well. Portion size was big enough to keep me fueled for the day of walking and shopping I really have to come back to try their melt sandwiches as well (and get another Mont blanc!!) EDIT: Tried the mushroom melt, delicious as well, and the portions are really big enough

Supersede Coffee is such a vibey spot for a chill coffee break or light bite. The Mushroom Melt ($15), Pastrami Sandwich ($17) and Ham & Cheese Melt ($15) were solid, comforting options with good portions. For something sweet, the Mont Blanc ($9.5), Cinnamon Scroll ($7.5) and Pistachio Croissant ($10) hit the spot and made great coffee companions. The coffee here is genuinely amazing, and the Mango Matcha ($12.5) was surprisingly good too, with a well-balanced matcha flavour. Overall, a great place for good snacks, sweets and quality drinks in a relaxed, feel-good setting.

We really enjoyed our first visit to this cafe. It's conveniently located on the outside of Queen Vic Market near the fresh food hall and is a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the market. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating, an impressive pastry cabinet, a small but refined food menu, and of course, a very impressive coffee selection including several signature drinks. On this visited we opted just for coffee and cake, though there's some delicious looking toasties and brekky bowls on the menu too. The beans used here are by Disciple Roasters and you could definitely taste the quality. The flat white we ordered was very smooth and went down very fast. We also loved the Tiramisu and the Iced Ube lattes which were sweet but not overpoweringly so and really well balanced. We tried two of the cakes and one of the tarts, all of which were delicious. The apple crumble cake came out warm and served with cream which was lovely. Overall we loved it here and I can see this becoming a regular pitstop of ours in the city from now on.

A nice modern cafe next to Queen Victoria Marker with some yummy offerings outside the usual cafe range - their egg wrap and tres leches cake are among my reasons to drop by now and then. The fruit-flavoured batch brew is quite fun, too, if you are in that mood.

If you love a cafe that does simple things with obsessive polish, this is the kind of place that turns quick market detours into proper little rituals. Hidden in plain sight at the Elizabeth St entrance to the Queen Vic Market, it has solid coffee and non-coffee options as well as sparkling water on tap (it's the small things that make it feel expensive). Get the Kimchi Melt and watch the cheese pull do it's thing, then let the spicy-tangy kimchi cut through all that gooey cheese like a flavour power move. The Pastrami was lack lustre in comparison.. not bad, just not the showstopper you might be expecting. And if you’re chasing volume and flavour, definitely opt for the Chicken Cotoletta which tastes every bit as good as it looks. The pastry case is a reliable “your-usual-suspects” selection where the Apple Crumble Cake leans a touch too sweet for my taste, but a dollop of cream (when the staff remember to bring it) calms that sweetness into something more balanced. Service is brisk and market-savvy, but still thoughtful about quality and presentation, and the location nails that perfect people-watching + market-energy combo. Overall, it sits comfortably in that sweet spot of being market-friendly, photogenic, and quietly serious about what it puts on the plate and is a market cafe worth visiting.

Absolutely loved this coffee spot at Queen Vic Market! Always packed, but totally worth the wait. Their signature drinks are incredible — the Mont Blanc is refreshing, the Tiramisu coffee is perfectly balanced, and the Iced Ube Latte is smooth with layered flavours. High-quality, unique and so satisfying!

This little spot near Queen Victoria Market has the best Mont Blanc I’ve tried so far—cold brew with that silky cream topping, perfectly balanced sweetness. I loved it so much I came back for a second time! The Vietnamese Coffee was also a standout—beautiful layers and a subtle coconut flavour. We also ordered the beef brisket sandwich which tasted so good. The cheese was melted in the mouth and the beef was solid too - don’t miss it if you visit here. Great vibes, great coffee, and solid food. Can’t wait to come back and try more!
